Description

The Modigliani Scandal is a high-speed, high-stakes thriller of heists and forgeries from Ken Follett, the bestselling author of The Pillars of the Earth.

A Priceless Artwork

When art historian Dee Sleign hears of a lost painting by Amedeo Modigliani, one of the greatest artists to have ever lived, she becomes determined to reclaim it so it can be viewed by the world.

A Desperate Race

However there are others who also want to claim it for their own corrupt motives; Dee's Uncle Charles Lampeth, for whom art is a commodity to be traded; Julian Black, the penniless owner of an art gallery; and Peter Usher, a struggling artist who spies an opportunity to get revenge against those in the art world who have unfairly wronged him.

A Deadly Victory

So begins an epic chase around Europe, from the streets of London to the Italian countryside, in an effort to claim one of the great lost artworks of the twentieth century. A dangerous hunt that could have deadly consequences for all involved.

From number one bestseller Ken Follett, The Modigliani Scandal is a novel about a lost masterpiece and bitter revenge.

About the Author
Ken Follett was born in Cardiff, Wales. Barred from watching films and television by his parents, he developed an early interest in reading thanks to a local library. After studying philosophy at University College London, he became involved in centre-left politics, entering into journalism soon after. His first thriller, the wartime spy drama Eye of the Needle, became an international bestseller and has sold over 10 million copies. He then astonished everyone with his first historical novel, The Pillars of the Earth, the story of the building of a medieval cathedral, which went on to become one of the most beloved books of the twentieth century. One of the most popular authors in the world, his many books, including the Kingsbridge series and the Century trilogy, have sold more than 178 million copies. A father and husband, Ken lives with his wife in England and enjoys travelling the world when he can.
