Description

Contact with an alien race, the Gliese, has been made, but communication is impossible. There is trade, but on seemingly inexplicable terms; anti-gravity technology was traded for a bicycle tyre. As we begin to colonize the stars, we're still dependant on the mysterious aliens who we still do not understand. It falls upon the unlikely team of a conceptual artist, Marc, and assassin, Kara, to embark on a mission that will unearth the mystery of the Gliese.

Commercial, inventive epic space opera trilogy. Written by highly successful author and well-known journalist. Andy Lane has written Dr Who and Torchwood novels and has strong links with the SFF and crime community, I including Dan Abnett and Charlie Higson. Will appeal to fans of Elizabeth Moon, Ann Leckie, Rachel Bach, James S. A. Corey, Adam Roberts, Michael Cobley, Frank Herbert, Kevin J. Anderson, and the Star Wars and Star Trek universes.

About the Author
Andrew Lane is the bestselling author of the Young Sherlock novels and has written for Dr Who. Nigel Foster is an advertising copywriter and founder of multiple magazines and publications.

Reviews
"Matches the high notes of [Frederik] Pohl (Gateway) and Peter Watts (Blindsight) while adding enough new ideas to sing its own dissonant song." B&N SFF blog

"A dark look at what could be hiding in space waiting for us to let our guard down." - Booklist

"A tense, provocative story, which puts a truly original spin on the idea of intergalactic interaction. It's plausible, unpredictable, and thoroughly entertaining as it sets the stage for future installments and even more questions." - Publishers Weekly

"A unique world that happens to be familiar, great character development, a fun change for the human race, and fast pacing leaves this as one science fiction book that you'll want to pick up!" ScienceFiction.com

"One of the best original science fiction novels I've read. Alien races are again beyond the understanding of mankind and I couldn't be happier. Highest possible recommendation." SciFi Pulse

Absolutely Fantastic

This was my first time ordering from SciFier but it definitely won't be my last. When it comes to buying books online the packaging needs to be good, SciFier were great they used bubble wrap to make sure they arrived perfect. Amazing range of books that majority are lower priced than most book retailers. Wonderful service, I'll definitely be recommending to everyone. Thank you.
