Reviews
"Alive with modest wonder-a treasure." -Kirkus Reviews (starred review) "This high-minded, big-hearted picture book sends the message that, while one may delight in having possessions, a good friend has more value." -Shelf Awareness "Dreis' illustrations gracefully convey the joy found by the bear and bird in the world around them-and in their friendship.... this is a book that emphasizes the importance of pausing to observe, to collect, and to value one's surroundings." -Booklist "A heck of a heck of a nice surprise ....the art is exceedingly appealing.... When I got to that final image of the bear and the bird from behind that, I found my breath truly taken away. It's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, but absolutely unforgettable." -School Library Journal
