Description

'You should definitely read Jack McDevitt' Gregory Benford

Forty-one years ago, renowned physicist Dr. Christopher Robin vanished. Before his disappearance, his fringe science theories about the existence of endless alternate universes had earned him both admirers and enemies.

Now his widow has died and Alex Benedict has been asked to handle the auction of the physicist's artifacts - leading the public to once again speculate on the mystery surrounding Robin's disappearance. Did he finally find the door between parallel universes that he had long sought?

Intrigued, Alex Benedict and Chase Kolpath embark on their own investigation as they follow the missing man's trail into the unknown to uncover the truth - a truth people are willing to kill to protect...

A Nebula Award finalist for Best Novel from the multi-award winning SF master Jack McDevitt. Sixth in the acclaimed Alex Benedict series.

About the Author
Jack McDevitt is a former naval officer, taxi driver, English teacher, and motivational trainer, and is now a full-time writer. Eleven of his novels have been Nebula finalists, and SEEKER won the award in 2007. In 2015 Jack won the Robert A. Heinlein Award, given an author of outstanding published works in science fiction and technical writings that inspire the human exploration of space. McDevitt was selected as the winner in recognition of his body of work, which includes over 21 novels and 81 short stories. McDevitt lives in Georgia with his wife Maureen.

Reviews
Jack McDevitt is that splendid rarity, a writer who is a storyteller first and a science fiction writer second. In his ability to absolutely rivet the reader, it seems to me that he is the logical heir to Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke -- Stephen King

Scifier is a cut above other book…

Scifier is a cut above other book sellers. Each time I've ordered the items were carefully and securely packaged so they were well protected. So many other online sellers skip this most important step. Also I find their prices to be very reasonable. Top notch.
