Description

It is quite likely that dragons have never been the mythological, fire-breathing, beasts that we might imagine. I mean, have you actually seen one? So, we might assume that they don't exist. However, maybe they do and they're invisible! Or possibly they can take on another form, something unexpected. It all starts whilst on a January holiday in Invercoe. Miles Better and his wife, Julie, at a time of their lives where things should start becoming more sedentary. Visiting the Highlands of Scotland in their motorhome. A time to unwind, to read, to enjoy each others company surrounded by the beauty of Glencoe. While they are there, they have one important task to perform and it doesn't go well, according to Miles. In a very short space of time, he will wonder whether he is actually delusional. Encouraged, without the option of refusal, into a totally surreal situation. Scared for his sanity, he slowly tries to make sense of what is happening. Miles has conversations with, supposedly, a dragon. For while he believes he is going mad and probably just talking to himself, the dragon insists that it is real. Miles is faced with the stigma of either becoming insane or really speaking with an impossible entity. The dragon wants Miles to help put things right. The dragon that Miles barely believes is real at all. The one that's in his head. Or is it? Is it just about choosing which is the lesser of the two evils? Not if the dragon has anything to do with it!

About the Author
Stephen Ward was born in Coventry, pretty much as far away from the sea and mountains that you can be in Britain. Married with three children and with itchy feet, he found himself relocating to Suffolk, living on a yacht for a while and working in a marina. Eventually moving to the Highlands to become a commercial skipper on a glass-bottomed boat. He's been a husband, a father, a climber, a mountaineer, a musician, a round-Britain yachtsman, an electrician, a boat handler and.. all the while, yearning to be... an author. His fertile imagination, though slightly surreal at times (usually so!), has, at last, been exposed.

Absolutely Fantastic

This was my first time ordering from SciFier but it definitely won't be my last. When it comes to buying books online the packaging needs to be good, SciFier were great they used bubble wrap to make sure they arrived perfect. Amazing range of books that majority are lower priced than most book retailers. Wonderful service, I'll definitely be recommending to everyone. Thank you.
