Description

In this latest installment of "Eerie Queerie, Volume 3", we meet Itsuki, a loquacious male itako (a traditionally female medium who allows spirits to use her body to communicate) in search of an assistant. His wallet was stolen en route to Tokyo and he now finds himself in need of assistance that Mikuni is willing to provide. Itsuki isn't the only new resident at the temple though, once Mikuni decides to hire a new shrine "maiden," in actuality a man named Shino. It turns out Shino's arrival is no coincidence; Itsuki is his old high school flame for whom it becomes obvious he still carries a torch. Mikuni comes up with a big money-making scheme in which Itsuki will channel God for a paying audience, but things go dangerously awry, and Mikuni is mysteriously transformed into a baby. Itsuki begins to feel an undeniable bond between himself and Shino, and the pair leaves for Osorezan. Mitsuo is left to take care of the infant Mikuni at the expense of his pride and his wallet. With money tight, Mitsuo responds to an advertisement for a job as a "psychic detective." The gang goes to meet the three brothers who placed the ad, Ichiro, a spastic monk in love with Mikuni, the friendly but bizarre Niro, and the subdued younger brother, Satoi. Mitsuo fails in his attempt to gather clues about their stolen mask, but they extend their hospitality nonetheless. But when Ichiro and Satoi are suddenly changed into old men, followed by Hasunuma and Shirai, Mitsuo realizes something isn't right. An ogre has possessed Niro and is sucking their life force! The possessed Niro paralyzes Mitsuo and takes him to his bedroom, but Mikuni appears, restored, just in time to save him from a loss of innocence. Sexual tension abounds, but an ogre on the loose can really kill the mood. Everything works out in the end, but Mitsuo must now face an even greater ordeal...Valentine's Day! Depressed at his conspicuous lack of chocolate or heterosexual attention of any kind, Mitsuo is overjoyed when he receives a letter from a presumably female secret admirer. He can't wait to meet the sweet, shy girl of his dreams...until he discovers it was a guy all along! Mitsuo is getting fed up with his apparent abundance of male admirers and continual mockery from his peers, and is relieved when Hasunuma dresses in drag to save him from further embarrassment in front of his classmates. Mitsuo thanks Hasunuma for being such a good friend...but it becomes clear that Hasunuma wants more than friendship.

This was my first time ordering from SciFier but it definitely won't be my last. When it comes to buying books online the packaging needs to be good, SciFier were great they used bubble wrap to make sure they arrived perfect. Amazing range of books that majority are lower priced than most book retailers. Wonderful service, I'll definitely be recommending to everyone. Thank you.
