Each of the six screenplays appears in full with scholarly annotations, and brief prefatory essays elucidate their evolution over various drafts and with various co-writers.

About the Author
Sarah Gleeson-White is an Associate Professor in American Literature at the University of Sydney, Australia. She has published widely in the fields of Southern literature, including Carson McCullers, Cormac McCarthy and William Faulkner, and on the interactions of film and literary cultures.
