About the AuthorKarl Alexander was an American writer. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he was the son and nephew of screenwriters-his father wrote the screenplay for Old Yeller, and his uncle wrote the screenplay for Ben-Hur-and worked on a number of films himself. In addition to Time After Time, Alexander wrote six other novels including The Long Shadow, Time-Crossed Lovers, Papa and Fidel and Jaclyn the Ripper, the sequel to Time After Time.
