Description

Snuggle up with this beautifully written and illustrated picture storybook about a toy rabbit who longs to be real.

Given as a Christmas gift to a young boy, the velveteen rabbit longs to be real and soon learns from the older and wiser toys that being real comes from the love of a child. Treasured and loved by his owner, the velveteen rabbit stays by his side as the boy falls sick, before finally discovering the magic that comes from being loved and cherished when he is transformed into a real rabbit, forever changed by the love he received.

This new adaptation of Margery Williams' famous tale is the perfect length for a bedtime story, and is a beautiful gift for girls and boys age 3 and up to share with parents, grandparents and other lucky adults alike!

About the Author
Margery Williams (1881 - 1944) was an English-American author. Born in London, Margery moved to the United States in 1890. She achieved fame at forty-one years old for the publication of her best-known classic children's storybook, The Velveteen Rabbit. After studying for BA (Hons) and MA degrees in English and American literature, Oakley Graham has been writing children's books ever since. He has penned over 200 children's books and has produced work for Penguin, Disney, School Specialty, Scholastic, Barnes & Noble, The Hayward Art Gallery London, Washington Corcoran Gallery of Art and Imagine That, to name but a few. Gareth Llewhellin has a traditional artwork style that perfectly captures the world of a young child. Gareth made his commercial mark in the world by illustrating hugely successful cards for Hallmark and UK Greetings, but has now added picture storybooks to his repertoire.

Absolutely Fantastic

This was my first time ordering from SciFier but it definitely won't be my last. When it comes to buying books online the packaging needs to be good, SciFier were great they used bubble wrap to make sure they arrived perfect. Amazing range of books that majority are lower priced than most book retailers. Wonderful service, I'll definitely be recommending to everyone. Thank you.
