Description
A collection of 13, dark-humoured tales. Designed to make you howl.
Loosely linked but wildly different, they contain a host of memorable characters. Some are quite like you and I. Some, thankfully, are not.
In No Thunderbolts, a lonely man seeks company. In The Crab, a noisy neighbour gets his comeuppance when a mysterious protagonist dispenses her own particular form of justice. Gong happens in real time, during a concert performance. In El Camino, a pilgrim strays from the path, and at The Divorce Clinic, a couple offer a radical new take on marriage.
Several of the stories concern extreme reactions to everyday scenarios; in others, the reader is taken to macabre, and occasionally fantastical, settings.
They will both satisfy and leave you hungry for more.
About the Author
Stephen Conrad was born just before the first moon landings. He was raised by Wolves but escaped to Suffolk aged three. He is a keen musician and card player, but actually got paid to model for over 30 years. Unfortunately this relied on mathematics rather than his physical appearance. He has two children, he likes the sea and this is his first book.
