Reviews
My friend Josh has written a book I wish I could have read years ago, before I ever walked onto a set. The insights shared in this book areinvaluable, and he has answered many of the questions I had back then (and many more I didn't know to even ask). His commitment to professionalism and education is remarkable and I am grateful he has shared this knowledge with the next generation of storytellers." -Stephen Broussard, Producer, Marvel Studios, Excerpt from the foreword
"I like the simplicity that at the same time meets a need to address topics that new filmmakers don't learn on YouTube. The format is also very consistent and practical." -Andres Cuervo, Filmmaker
"While I'll always recommend going to film school, Josh's book is all the important lessons you'll ever learn in one handy book. BUY IT!! READ IT!!! GIVE IT TO YOUR CLASSES!!!" -Chris Molina, Recent Film School Graduate
"A breezy, insightful read. You'll want it on your bookshelf-you'll need it on your bookshelf!" -Adrian Garcia, Film Professor
"Witty and clever in its structure while being accurate and engaging in its content. This must-read textbook, a survival guide for any film student, takes you by the hand, introducing you to the set cadence in each chapter while teaching you the essentials of the business." -Leda Barham, Producer
