Description

Action adventure with a jolt!

Louis Crandell was but a lowly lab assistant with a prosthetic, steel hand until an experiment gone awry results in a horrific explosion. Surging with electric charge which bestows Crandell the power of invisibility with the exception of his steel hand, so commence a series of uncanny thrills!

Written by stalwarts of the British comics industry, Ken Bulmer (Jet-Ace Logan) and Tom Tully (Roy of the Rovers, Janus Stark) and illustrated by the legendary Spanish artist, Jesus Blasco (Capitan Trueno), Rebellion's Treasury of British Comics is proud to present the first in a series of graphic novels collecting together for the first time every strip of 1960s adventure comics like none other!

About the Author
Jesus Blasco is considered one of the most significant artists in Spanish comics. He created Cuto for Boliche magazine and produced several science fiction and adventure titles. In the 1960s he joined the British publishing agency Fleetway and worked on Steel Claw, Billy the Kid and Buffalo Bill amongst others. For 2000 AD he provided the art for several episodes of Invasion!

London born Ken Bulmer was a prolific writer who made his mark in a number of genres and mediums. By the end of his career he had over 160 novels published alone. Writing for American science fiction magazines like Amazing Stories whilst in his teens, he contributed to the small British fan magazines of the 1940s, and had his work published alongside such luminaries as John Wyndham and Arthur C. Clarke. In the 1950s he worked for a small number of UK SF novel publishers and started to get some recognition which eventually led to him selling stories directly to Ace Books in New York. It was in the same decade that he started to submit scripts to Amalgamated Press and began his comics career. He wrote several of the War Picture Library stories as well as several serials for Lion and Valiant, including the famous Steel Claw for the latter.

Absolutely Fantastic

This was my first time ordering from SciFier but it definitely won't be my last. When it comes to buying books online the packaging needs to be good, SciFier were great they used bubble wrap to make sure they arrived perfect. Amazing range of books that majority are lower priced than most book retailers. Wonderful service, I'll definitely be recommending to everyone. Thank you.
