John M. Ford (1957-2006) was a writer of science fiction and fantasy and, under a pseudonym, children's fiction. He was a winner of the Philip K. Dick Award and two World Fantasy Awards, including one for THE DRAGON WAITING, a Gollancz Fantasy Masterwork.
