Description

Two children, from different times and different places brought together to take part in one epic adventure. When Oli moves with her mother to live in the country, away from everything she has ever know, she is deeply unhappy. Her mum insists Oli come with her to the creaky old mansion where she works, and Oli can't think of anything more dull. Far away in the magical Silvanland, Cory is fed up with being overlooked for his seemingly perfect older brother. His family are caught up in a centuries long feud with another royal clan and he doesn't see why he can't get involved in the fight. When Oli stumbles through a magical portal in the old mansion, their destinies collide. A curse is festering in Silvanland, and Oli may just be the key to breaking it. And so begins a thrilling quest, more perilous than either child could ever have imagined. Oli and Cory must dig deep to find the courage they need, to save Silvanland and one another. A wonderful, magical adventure story that explores themes of friendship, trust, and a child's role in the family by debut author G N Channon

About the Author
Georgia Channon wrote her first story aged seven, about a frog who lived in a tree. Sadly, it didn't get published. As an adult, she pursued other things like acting and selling pyjamas. But she constantly imagined different characters and stories, scrawling ideas in notebooks. Out walking in woods or fields at dusk, she often dreamed of disappearing through the evening mist into another world or another century. When she got fed up of waiting for this to happen, she wrote her debut novel, The Curse of the Silvan Oaks. She now spends most of her time living in the world of Sacromund.

Absolutely Fantastic

This was my first time ordering from SciFier but it definitely won't be my last. When it comes to buying books online the packaging needs to be good, SciFier were great they used bubble wrap to make sure they arrived perfect. Amazing range of books that majority are lower priced than most book retailers. Wonderful service, I'll definitely be recommending to everyone. Thank you.
