Description

The magical Sidhe have been expelled from their home and forced into the Grey Land - a place under the earth; a place of darkness and death. But now they've returned to take back what they lost. All teenagers will be called, and when your time comes, you have to be ready to run or fight to the death. The vengeful Sidhe will grab you by surprise - you could be studying or hanging out with friends when suddenly you're pulled into their terrifying world, alone and hunted. Only one in ten will return alive - the rest subjected to a tortuous and painful death. No one believes Nessa can survive The Call, but after years of torment and, worse, pity - she's determined to prove them wrong . . . The perfect read for fans of Suzanne Collins and James Dashner.

3 minutes - the time you have to save your life . . .

About the Author
Peadar O'Guilin was inspired to write The Grey Land books by the mystical beauty of northwest Ireland where he spent his early childhood. For many years, Peadar developed both a fascination and deep love for mythology and Irish legends. He describes The Call as 'my mash-up of the darker parts of Irish mythology and classic survival stories.' The Sidhe from The Grey Land books are the original people of the mounds' whom the Irish believed in for centuries. Peadar is in no doubt that when a race of people is expelled from their homeland, they will soon be looking to exact a bloody revenge . . .

Reviews
A brilliant compelling adventure . . . Don't miss it. * The Bookseller *
The Call is dark and brutal . . . its power is undeniable. It channels Irish mythology into modern teenage life with an energy that recalls Alan Garner. * Frank Cottrell-Boyce *
Like nothing I've ever read before. * Non Pratt *
I loved, loved, loved this story . . . simultaneously lyrical and realistic. I couldn't put it down. * The Bookbag *
Mixes fantasy, horror and folklore (aka it's PERFECT for Game of Thrones fans). * Buzzfeed *
Beautiful, powerful, vindictive, capricious . . . definitely recommended for anyone who likes an exciting, frightening tale. * Irish Independent *
A benchmark of outstanding, suspenseful fantasy . . . it's absolutely electrifying. * Starburst Magazine *
Think The Hunger Games meets Lord of the Flies. Truly an original . . . The story is so gripping, you can't put it down. * Serendipity Reviews *

This was my first time ordering from SciFier but it definitely won't be my last. When it comes to buying books online the packaging needs to be good, SciFier were great they used bubble wrap to make sure they arrived perfect. Amazing range of books that majority are lower priced than most book retailers. Wonderful service, I'll definitely be recommending to everyone. Thank you.
