About the Author
One of the best known comics artists is still one of the youngest. At only 28 Tomine has been producing his Optic Nerve series for over ten years. His stories gained national attention, defining in alternative comics a new Gen X sensibility. Tomine lives in Berkeley where he writes Optic Nerve and contributes illustrations to magazines like Esquire, The New Yorker, and Details.
