Description
In an age of revolution, revolt and reinvention, Leon Odling is reduced to stoking coal in a fiery hellhole. His troubles are doubled when he encounters the Governor's enchanting, wilful daughter.
For her part, Eliza Elvidge is smitten with the stoker. She must have him whatever the cost.
Drawn into a sinister world of lost boys and subversive science, neither could have known how high a price must be paid. By them both.
About the Author
Born in Britain, Jenny Brigalow went on holiday to Australia as a young woman, returning home 32 years later to resettle in Devon. She started putting her stories to paper after she was bedbound from a back injury. After recovering, her love for creating tales continued. She published Children of the Mist and The MacGregor with Escape (Harlequin) and self-published The Madonna and The Overlander, the latter of which placed in a competition co-run by the Queensland Writers Centre and publishers, Allen and Unwin.
