Description

In the future, Earth is the second planet of the Dodecahedral Empire, London its capital, and there live two teens. Last night 14-year-old Guy Erma, witnessed Prince Teodor beaten and imprisoned, yet he did nothing. Why did he not shout the alarm, point to the prince in distress, or tell a single soul? Because Guy knows the name of the Prince's captor and also the price of speaking out. On the eve of his fourteenth birthday, Teodor finds himself trapped by corrupted Battle Borgs. He is their future king. Now his government is compromised and planet-changing decisions hang by a thread, the thin thread of teenager's life 3 Days, 2 boys, 1 crown. Two teens born two days apart, they should never have met, and yet when they did, their world would change forever. The sequel to 13. Born of Empire, 14: Son of Empire delivers an adrenaline-fueled adventure. If you enjoyed the political chicanery of FRANK HERBERT's 'DUNE' and the humour and rivalry of 'THOR' and 'LOKI' in the 'MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE', then you'll love the richly detailed world-building and high stakes action of '13. Born of Empire' by Sally Ann Melia.

About the Author
Sally Ann Melia was born in Wallasey, England, and moved to the South of France when she was eleven. An English girl in a French school, for three hours each week she would sit at the back of the class as her colleagues learnt English. To pass the time, she wrote stories. This led to a lifetime of writing novels, scripts, stories and articles.

Reviews
A thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable read. I haven't read sci-fi for some while, and wasn't sure how I'd take to it, but I needn't have worried. Sally Melia has created a totally believable world in which to place her young hero, Guy Erma, an unregistered Domeside orphan. I loved the detail, the settings, the characters, the political intrigues and the complexity of the plot. It has light and dark shades, humour and heartbreak and best of all it's very well written and constructed. I shall be looking for more titles from this author. R Coulsen.

This was my first time ordering from SciFier but it definitely won't be my last. When it comes to buying books online the packaging needs to be good, SciFier were great they used bubble wrap to make sure they arrived perfect. Amazing range of books that majority are lower priced than most book retailers. Wonderful service, I'll definitely be recommending to everyone. Thank you.
