Description

Classic sense-of-wonder sf from the author of THE ENGINES OF GOD.

We are alone in the universe.

We have faster-than-light travel. We've been looking for over 1,000 years, and there is simply nothing out there.

The universe is a magnificent, but sterile, wilderness - and it all belongs to us. Maybe we're lucky.

That's the received wisdom, anyway.

A new expedition, investigating a mysteriously aborted mission 27 years earlier, is about to turn that wisdom on its head.

About the Author

Jack McDevitt is widely regarded by his fellow professionals as one of the finest sf writers working in the USA. His previous novels include Ancient Shores, Moonfall and the highly acclaimed The Engines of God. He has served as an officer in the US Navy, taught English and literature, and worked for the US Customs Service. He currently lives in Georgia, USA.

SciFier Trustpilot Reviews

Absolutely Fantastic

This was my first time ordering from SciFier but it definitely won't be my last. When it comes to buying books online the packaging needs to be good, SciFier were great they used bubble wrap to make sure they arrived perfect. Amazing range of books that majority are lower priced than most book retailers. Wonderful service, I'll definitely be recommending to everyone. Thank you.

My favourite pick for manga

Great delivery to EU, no issues with customs. Very good packaging. A nice selection of manga and, so far, the best prices I could find :)
