Description

In Brit-Cit business is good for Sam Slade. From investigating foul play committed against England's World Cup robo-players, to working for Prime Minister Iron Aggie, the Robo-Hunter is making good bank. But will a little thing like his own death bring an end to such a successful robo-hunting career? Written by comic legends John Wagner (A History Of Violence) and Alan Grant (Batman) with art by Ian Gibson (Halo Jones), this bumper volume features the greatest adventures of the Robo-Hunter.

About the Author
With over 300 2000 AD stories to his name - not to mention over 250 Daily Star Judge Dredd strips - Alan Grant's prolific creative record speaks for itself. Outside the Galaxy's Greatest Comic, Grant is well-known to Batman fans following a lengthy run on various incarnations of the title. More recently he has adapted Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novels Kidnapped and Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde in Graphic Novel format with artist Cam Kennedy. His television work includes scripts for the BBC series Ace Lightning and the Carnival of Doom and he is currently writing a feature length animation for a German company. John Wagner has been scripting for 2000 AD for more years than he cares to remember. His creations include Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog, Ace Trucking, Al's Baby, Button Man and Mean Machine. Outside of 2000 AD his credits include Star Wars, Lobo, The Punisher and the critically acclaimed A History of Violence. John Smith is unquestionably a 2000 AD hero, with a host of creative credits to his name, including A Love Like Blood, Devlin Waugh, Firekind, Holocaust 12, Indigo Prime, Pussyfoot 5, Revere, Slaughterbowl and Tyranny Rex. Smith has also written Future Shocks, Heavy Metal Dredd, Judge Dredd, Judge Karyn, Mega-City One, One-Offs, Pulp Sci-Fi, Robo-Hunter, Rogue Trooper, Strange Cases, Tales from Beyond Science, Tales of Mega-City One and Vector 13. Smith's work beyond the Galaxy's Greatest Comic includes the long-running New Statesmen series and Straitgate in Crisis, DC/Vertigo's Hellblazer and Scarab, and Harris Comics' Vampirella and Pantha. One of 2000 AD's best-loved and most honoured artists, Ian Gibson is responsible for the co-creation of The Ballad of Halo Jones (with Alan Moore), and created Bella Bagley, an unfortunate character in Judge Dredd's world who fell headover- heels in love with 'Old Stoney Face' himself! His work outside the Galaxy's Greatest Comic includes Chronicles of Genghis Grimtoad, Star Wars, X-Men Unlimited, plus the designs for the TV series Reboot. Rian Hughes is now better known as an internationally acclaimed designer of fonts and covers than as a comics artist, but his brief contributions to 2000 AD are well-remembered by fans; he co-created Really and Truly and also illustrated several Robo-Hunter and Tales from Beyond Science strips. Since leaving the Galaxy's Greatest Comic, Hughes has illustrated the controversial Dare (for Revolver), as well as contributing to DC/Vertigo's Doom Patrol and The Invisibles. He has also produced covers for DC/WildStorm's WildC.A.T.S. 3.0. Chris Weston is the co-creator of Indigo Prime: Killing Time, and has drawn a vast array of other 2000 AD and Megazine stories, including Downlode Tales, Future Shocks, Canon Fodder, Judge Dredd, Nemesis the Warlock, Nikolai Dante, One- Offs, Pulp Sci-Fi, Robo-Hunter, Rogue Trooper, Vector 13 and Whatever Happened To? Beyond 2000 AD, Weston's work includes Fantastic Four: First Family, Enemy Ace: War in Heaven, The Filth, The Invisibles, Ministry of Space and Garth Ennis' War Story: Johann's Tiger. Simon Jacob is the co-creator of Armoured Gideon and Dead Meat, and has also provided art for Harlem Heroes, Judge Dredd, Robo-Hunter, Tales of the Doghouse, and Tharg's Future Shocks. His non-2000 AD work can be seen in Mighty World of Marvel.
