Ever since she was li little, Rhiannon has lived with her aunt in a sleepy, sun-drenched trailer park called Golden Canyon Retirement Community. Growing up among senior citizens, Rhia is usually the only kid around - except during the summer. That's when her best friend, Kit, comes for a long visit. This summer, something has changed. Lucy in the Sky, her first graphic novel (with artist Sean Chiki), was published in 2021. Sean Chiki is a middle school teacher and cartoonist. His comic stories have been published in collections from Skoda Man Press, and his cartoons have appeared in The Funny Times. Kiara Brinkman and Sean Chiki live in California with their children and two cats.
