Description

Relic Hamilton is just your average 12-year-old, living a quiet life with his grandfather above their old antiques shop in Chinatown in London.

Until one day, while polishing some mysterious brass lamps in the basement, something extraordinary happens. Relic feels spine-chillingly cold. Breathless. Scared. And suddenly, a real, live genie stands before him!

But this is no kind, benevolent genie. This genie is evil ... and it feeds on hope.

Relic finds himself catapulted to the centre of a fast-paced underground community of genie hunters, led by the excitable Professor Latimer and the tech-savvy Doctor Raphaela. Together, they travel in their one-of-a-kind jet, the Aladdin, secretly chasing rogue genies before they can wreak havoc on the world...

A thrilling new adventure series from the former Waterstones Children's Laureate and winner of the Yoto Carnegie Medal for Writing.

Reviews
From the former Children's Laureate comes an exciting new series, part Indiana Jones, part Ghostbusters, part Pokemon, but all very much its own. Brilliant. * Netgalley *
Former Children's Laureate Joseph Coelho's new series is sure to work its magic on young readers! ... The story is immensely satisfying and there's a great cast of characters... Coelho is a poet as well as author and each chapter opens with a poem, which is an extra treat, while Hyun Song We's illustrations of the genies and the action are terrific. Genie-us all round! * Love Reading 4 Kids *
This is an exciting and new look at genie's- not the grandeur we might associate with making wishes. These genie's are rather unique looking and many are keen to cause chaos and disorder, all in anger over their treatment from humans. Relic proves to be a brilliant character, one who starts to find his feet in this new society! Ending on enough of a cliffhanger to know you need to read more, this is a fantastic start to a new series! * My Shelves are Full *
Relic Hamilton, Genie Hunter is an engaging MG adventure and fantasy book with a relatable main character, the twelve year old Relic. We also have an evil genie, an underground academia, an illustration style that oozes motion. I highly recommend this cute book. * Netgalley Reviewer *

This was my first time ordering from SciFier but it definitely won't be my last. When it comes to buying books online the packaging needs to be good, SciFier were great they used bubble wrap to make sure they arrived perfect. Amazing range of books that majority are lower priced than most book retailers. Wonderful service, I'll definitely be recommending to everyone. Thank you.
