Description

David's finding it tough fitting in at his new school. All he wants to do is be the goalie on the school team like he was before. But Nick, the current school goalie, has killed off any hope of that. Walking home through the town's abandoned football stadium one night, David meets a stranger who will change his life forever. But will David's dream of finding a team to kick about with turn into a living nightmare? Highly readable, exciting books that take the struggle out of reading, Wired encourages and supports reading practice by providing gripping, age-appropriate stories for struggling and reluctant readers or those with English as an additional language aged 11+, at a manageable length (64 pages) and reading level (8+). Produced in association with reading experts at CatchUp, a charity which aims to address underachievement caused by literacy and numeracy difficulties.

David just wants to play on the school team again - but will his football dream turn into a nightmare? Chilling horror. Wired provides age-appropriate stories at a manageable length and reading level. Produced in association with reading experts at CatchUp.

About the Author
Robert Dodds was born in England and grew up in Yorkshire and Kent with a neurotic dog and a tortoise. He went to Oxford University to study English and then became a teacher. After a few years working in England, Mexico, and the USA, he settled in Edinburgh. By this time he was a filmmaker as well as a teacher, and he set up a new degree course in film and television production at Edinburgh College of Art in the late 1980s. He still works at Edinburgh College of Art for part of the year. As well as producing a variety of work for television, radio, and theatre, Robert has had four books published. Absolutely Fantastic

This was my first time ordering from SciFier but it definitely won't be my last. When it comes to buying books online the packaging needs to be good, SciFier were great they used bubble wrap to make sure they arrived perfect. Amazing range of books that majority are lower priced than most book retailers. Wonderful service, I'll definitely be recommending to everyone. Thank you.
