About the Author
James Matthew Barrie was born in 1860 near Dundee but moved to London after university to pursue a career as a journalist. He initially wrote Peter Pan as a play but later published it as a novel for children in 1911. It went on to become one of the greatest and best-loved classics in all of British children's literature.
