Description

In this epic post-apocalyptic fable, follow two star-crossed lovers across the wasteland of a planet ravaged by environmental catastrophe as their stories intertwine across decades.

A POST-APOCALYPTIC FABLE IN THREE PARTS

Uncover the mysteries of the wasteland in this decades-spanning epic from New York Times bestselling, and Eisner and Harvey Award-winning writer Jason Aaron and told through the lens of three industry heavyweights - Alexandre Tefenkgi (The Good Asian), Leila Del Duca (Sleepless) and Nick Dragotta (East of West, Absolute Batman).

The full saga is collected here for the first time, spanning three distinct chapters in the lives of two star-crossed lovers wandering a planet devastated by environmental catastrophe. Noxious poisons, plastic tornadoes, and roving gangs of Ravagers are just a few of the dangers that will test their relationship, and reveal the heart of the connections that bind us all.

After all, what is love at the end of the world?

Collects Once Upon a Time at the End of the World #1-15.

About the Author
JASON AARON has been writing award-winning comic books for more than two decades. After winning a Marvel Comics talent search contest in 2001, Aaron went on to become one of Marvel's preeminent writers, crafting character-defining runs on such series as GHOST RIDER, WOLVERINE and DOCTOR STRANGE. His landmark seven year run on THOR featured the headline-grabbing saga of Jane Foster as the Mighty Thor, and his 2015 STAR WARS series became the best-selling American comic book in more than twenty years. Aaron is currently making his DC Comics debut with BATMAN OFF-WORLD and ACTION COMICS and is also set to spearhead a 40th anniversary relaunch of TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES for IDW. Aaron's critically acclaimed creator-owned work includes the Eisner and Harvey Award-winning SOUTHERN BASTARDS from Image Comics and the New York Times best-selling crime series SCALPED from Vertigo Comics, plus the recently launched ONCE UPON A TIME AT THE END OF THE WORLD from BOOM! Studios. Jason Aaron was born and raised in Alabama and currently resides in Kansas City.

Alexandre Tefenkgi is an international comic book artist of Vietnamese-Djiboutian descent. He's the visual creator of the Eisner and Harvey Award-winning comics The Good Asian with Pornsak Pichetshote, as well as the postapocalyptic love story Once Upon a Time at the End of the World with Jason Aaron. He specializes in character-driven stories and emotional poetry. His craft is devoted to expressing the complexity of human relationships.

Leila del Duca is a comic book creator living in Portland, Oregon. Besides drawing Wonder Woman: Tempest Tossed, she has drawn Sleepless, Shutter, and wrote Afar at Image Comics. Leila has also worked on titles such as The Wicked + The Divine, Scarlet Witch, American Vampire, and The Pantheon Project. During her spare time, she loves to make food, read, dabble in music, and do craft projects, especially during the Portland rainy months. She also loves staring off into space and considers it her favorite pasttime.
