Description
In this timeless bedtime story, the moon's luminous, watchful presence inspires wishes of hope and love, with dreamy watercolour illustrations by acclaimed illustrator Milan Pavlovic.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to be the moon?
"I wish I were the moon," says the speaker in this timeless bedtime story, "so that I could shine on you." The moon shines to guide a journey home, glistens beautifully on icy snow, and wishes peace and safety for travelers, friends and troubled hearts.
Milan Pavlovic's dreamy watercolor illustrations complement this sweet story from Patricia and Guy Storms. Children and the adults who read to them will be delighted as moon wishes reach over icebergs, into towns, through forests and under the sea.

About the Author
PATRICIA STORMS has worked as a short-order cook, a library technician, and a graphic designer, but her favorite thing to do by far is to make books for kids! She wrote and illustrated The Pirate and the Penguin and the much-loved Never Let You Go. She is the author of The Dog's Gardener, illustrated by Nathalie Dion, and collaborated with her husband, Guy Storms, to write Moon Wishes, illustrated by Milan Pavlovic. Patricia lives in Toronto, Ontario, in a cozy old house overflowing with books. GUY STORMS works for the Toronto Public Library. MILAN PAVLOVIC lives in Toronto with his family. When he is not illustrating picture books, drawing or playing the ukulele, he is teaching visual communication and illustration at OCAD University and Seneca College. He has illustrated over fifty children's books including Son of Happy by Cary Fagan, The Boy Who Invented the Popsicle by Anne Renaud, and Moon Wishes by Guy and Patricia Storms. He created the lyrical wordless picture book Sonata for Fish and Boy.
Reviews
A soothing, comforting lunar lullaby calibrated for bedtime sharing. * Kirkus Reviews *
There are rarely more than a dozen words on each page, but Pavlovic's spreads slow down the reading experience with mixed-media artwork that dances like the northern lights, each colour blurring and rippling into the next. . . . Moon Wishes embodies complete calm in its textual and visual lyricism. * Quill and Quire *
With its meaningful intentions and luminous illustrations, Moon Wishes will certainly hush children to sleep knowing that the moon is watching over all and wishing only goodness. * CanLit for Little Canadians *
