Description

Are you brave enough to find out what happens when a spoilt girl is spiteful to a giant hungry worm?

Can you bear to watch a (very silly) boy poke an angry sleeping sea-monster?

Do you dare to discover why should you never, ever steal milk from a Frid?*

Beware: Naughty children always get their just deserts . . .

Eva Ibbotson's Let Sleeping Sea-Monsters Lie contains five delightfully funny cautionary tales, with a foreword by Julia Donaldson, author of The Gruffalo.

*A dog-munching rock. Doesn't everyone know that?

A celebration of and introduction to the funny, enchanting and utterly brilliant writing of Eva Ibbotson - perfect for young readers. First published in 1983 as THE WORM AND THE TOFFEE-NOSED PRINCESS, this wonderful reissue features a stand-out jacket design from Jimmy Pickering and irresistible new inside illustrations. JOURNEY TO THE RIVER SEA has sold over 450,000 copies. It won the Nestle Smarties Gold Award, was shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal and was runner-up for the Whitbread Children's Book of the Year and the Guardian Fiction Award. THE STAR OF KAZAN was shortlisted for both the Nestle Children's Book Award and the Carnegie Medal. WHICH WITCH? and THE SECRET OF PLATFORM 13 were both shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal. Absolutely Fantastic

This was my first time ordering from SciFier but it definitely won't be my last. When it comes to buying books online the packaging needs to be good, SciFier were great they used bubble wrap to make sure they arrived perfect. Amazing range of books that majority are lower priced than most book retailers. Wonderful service, I'll definitely be recommending to everyone. Thank you.
