Description

Lord Of The Rings meets Independence Day in this brand-new fantasy epic from the pages of 2000 AD! The MAGIC IS GATHERING! The inhabitants of the Nine Kingdoms fought hard to liberate their world from the tyranny of Ichnar the Wraith King. Little did they suspect that a greater threat would soon fall upon them in the form of the Thorn - a race of aliens intent on strip-mining all of the magic from the world. Now old enemies have formed an alliance - Wizard Ablard, ork Crixus and the dryad Princess Yarrow have set aside their differences and are seeking to use the Ebora world spirit against the invaders...

About the Author
Ian Edginton is a New York Times bestselling author and multiple Eisner Award nominee. He is currently writing Batman'66 meets The Avengers (Steed and Mrs Peel, not the other ones!) for DC Comics as well as Judge Dredd, Stickleback, Helium, Kingmaker and Brass Sun for 2000 AD. Once an artist for DC Comics on titles such as The Witching, Justice League Unlimited and Lego Bionicle, Leigh Gallagher cast off his ridiculously attractive fleshy exo-suit to proudly serve The Mighty Tharg as one of his art droids for 2000 AD. There, he goes above and beyond to bring awesome Thrill-power to your eye holes, slapping zombies in the face for the co-created Defoe, donning a loin cloth whilst drawing the co-created Aquila, and talking in a gruff, commanding voice when working on Judge Dredd!

Reviews
"Take the long-worn tropes of JRR Tolkien and smash them into Star Wars for a cross-genre tale about rebellion and ancient evil" * Down The Tubes * "Consistently Compelling" * Geek Syndicate * "Kingmaker remains a highly original hybrid of genres, taking the best elements from alien invasion stories and fantasy war stories and merging them together to produce a one-of-a-kind adventure." * Pop Culture Bandit *
