Description

_______________ The epic conclusion to the laugh-out-loud funny Kid Normal series for readers aged 8+, from radio stars Greg James and Chris Smith _______________ Praise for Kid Normal: 'So funny, it's almost criminal' - Independent 'Outrageous capers' - Guardian _______________ Murph Cooper is famous ... and he's not happy about it. Kid Normal and the Super Zeroes used to save the day in secret. But suddenly everyone knows who they are. Oily villain Nicholas Knox has told the public that superheroes are dangerous. He wants to lock them all up and take over the world! *Cue evil cackling* Murph must expose Knox's evil plan, or the world of heroes is doomed forever!

In a top secret school for kids with super powers, it's hard being the only 'normal' one - that's what Murph Cooper thought before he became part of the Super Zeroes! The epic conclusion to the awesome, award-winning, bestselling, super-charged KID NORMAL series by Greg James and Chris Smith. Illustrated by Erica Salcedo

About the Author
Chris Smith is an award-winning author, broadcaster and parent (a mug saying 'World's Greatest Dad' counts as an award, right?). He grew up in leafy Northamptonshire and now lives in not-as-leafy North London with his wife, son and a cat called Mabel, who can talk. If you listen very carefully to the George Michael song 'Outside' you can hear a sample of Chris reading the news. He makes excellent tea. Greg James is an award-winning author and broadcaster, best known for hosting the Radio 1 Breakfast Show, but he hasn't won any awards for being a parent because he isn't one. He circumnavigated the M25 during his childhood and is now living with his wife Bella and their dog Barney in north London. Greg and Chris's houses are connected by a secret tunnel that they use for exchanging ideas via an elaborate pulley system. He makes terrible tea. Illustrator Erica Salcedo studied Fine Art at Castilla-La Mancha University, before going on to study for a masters in Graphic Design. She uses a mixture of techniques to create her illustrations - from hand-drawing to digital manipulation - and always remembers to add a pinch of humour. Wolfish Stew (Bloomsbury), written by Suzi Moore, was Erica's first picture book. She lives in Cuenca, Spain. KidNormal.com

Reviews
...you can come at it fresh, having had no previous encounters with ''capability-free'' Murph and his super-powered pals. The gang are back in motion thanks to slimy supervillain Knox, who wants to take over the world. There is mild peril, silliness, wordplay, and much fun-poking * The i *
There is mild peril, silliness, word play, and much fun poking (mainly at politician-style characters), but it's all bound together with strong messages on friendship, teamwork, and the inner strengths we all have, it's just a matter of identifying them. * Woman's Way *
PRAISE FOR KID NORMAL: So funny, it's almost criminal * Independent *
Outrageous capers for eight and up ... Amusingly surreal super-powers and a trust yourself message combine to strong effect with Erica Salcedo's entertaining, huge-eyed images * Guardian *
An extraordinary tale about an ordinary boy in a world of heroes ... A fast-paced, humorous adventure with likeable heroes and a suitably ridiculous, evil villain * Times Educational Supplement *
Packed with very amusing asides, it's a fun and fast-paced read that will make James and Smith into children's heroes * Western Mail *
Chock full of slapstick humour, outrageous characters and pop culture references. It mocks school pecking orders and will make all kids who have fallen foul of them feel much better about it. And somehow, it ties all the mania together in a credible and thrilling story * The Bookbag *
A superlative adventure story that will resonate with children who like to read whacky, wild things * Books Monthly *
This spoof superhero epic certainly delivers: deliciously dastardly villains, capes, tights and mild-mannered heroes. Yet it also explores familiar school anxieties that everyone else is smarter, stronger, better * BookTrust *
A very promising start to a laugh-out-loud funny adventure series * Parents in Touch *
Incredibly funny, witty and stuffed full of heart * Book Lover Jo *

Absolutely Fantastic

This was my first time ordering from SciFier but it definitely won't be my last. When it comes to buying books online the packaging needs to be good, SciFier were great they used bubble wrap to make sure they arrived perfect. Amazing range of books that majority are lower priced than most book retailers. Wonderful service, I'll definitely be recommending to everyone. Thank you.
