About the Author
Jonathan Berg is a photographer and author with a deep appreciation and understanding of Birmingham. Since moving to the city in 1978, he has combined a career in the NHS with and honorary appointments at the University of Birmingham with photography. His photographic exploration of Birmingham began in 1990, leading to thirteen books capturing its changing landscape in photos with an infromative accompanying text.
His first book, Positively Birmingham, became a popular coffee table title, running to five editions. More recently, he has explored the city's heritage through books such as Invention & Design: Elkington of Birmingham, which highlights Jewellery Quarter innovation, and Birmingham's Public Art, a striking visual guide to the city's sculptural and mural art.
