Description

For Fans of the greatest literary warrior of all times!

The legend of Conan the Barbarian strides on with Omnibus Volume 5, which sees new writers and artists take up the reins and welcomes legends like Gil Kane, Bruce Jones and Neil Adams to the roster of great creators.

This volume also brings back fan-favorite characters like Jenna and Murilo to the supporting cast. Featuring superb artwork, epic stories and the usual selection of rarely seen bonus material.

Conan the Barbarian enters a new creative phase as J.M. DeMatteis ("Kraven's Last Stand") debuts as series writer. He will take Conan to the magical city in the clouds, Mreead-Zza; return fan-favorites Jenna and Murilo to the supporting cast; and team with John Buscema on a set of stories pitting Conan against Eilaynia, Princess of Mist. Then, Marvel legend Gil Kane takes the artistic reins for an extended run featuring "The Creation Quest" saga, while writer Bruce Jones (Incredible Hulk) mixes a blend of humor and horror. Plus: A story illustrated by titans John Buscema and Neal Adams, a pair of Annuals by Roy Thomas, and Thomas and Buscema's Conan of the Isles graphic novel, reprinted for the first time!

About the Author

John Buscema (1927-2002) literally wrote the book on being a Marvel artist-namely, How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way-and few were better qualified. His career began in 1948 as a member of the Timely/Marvel Bullpen. He left the field for advertising in the mid-'50s, but Stan Lee coaxed him back to comics in 1966. Buscema followed with a celebrated run on The Avengers with the first Silver Surfer series. He subsequently succeeded Jack Kirby on Fantastic Four, Thor and other titles. By the time of his retirement in 1996, Buscema had penciled nearly every Marvel title-including over 100 issues of his personal favorite, Conan the Barbarian. 1439

Absolutely Fantastic

This was my first time ordering from SciFier but it definitely won't be my last. When it comes to buying books online the packaging needs to be good, SciFier were great they used bubble wrap to make sure they arrived perfect. Amazing range of books that majority are lower priced than most book retailers. Wonderful service, I'll definitely be recommending to everyone. Thank you.
