Description

A stunning full-colour illustrated adaptation of H. G. Wells' sci-fi classic, from the illustrator of A Boy Called Christmas, The Iron Man and Animal Farm.

1894. Across space, this earth is being watched by envious eyes.

What seems to be a meteorite falls to earth, but from the debris unfolds a terrifying alien threat . . .

Leon and and his scientist wife race against the clock to end the war of all worlds.

In this modernised and abridged graphic novel Chris Mould brings to life the arrival of these giant alien lifeforms in glorious full colour.

'Exquisite, detailed illustrations . . . convey as much emotion as do words in this remarkable re-imagining of War of the Worlds.' Susan Price, Carnegie winning author of Ghost Drum

'An absolute masterpiece.' Kieran Larwood, author of The World of Podkin One-Ear series

A stunning full-colour illustrated adaptation of H. G. Wells' sci-fi classic, from the illustrator of A Boy Called Christmas, The Iron Man and Animal Farm.

About the Author

Chris Mould has illustrated the gamut from picture books and young fiction, to theatre posters and satirical cartoons. As well as writing his own fiction and illustrating Ted Hughes' The Iron Man to much critical success, he has teamed up with author Matt Haig for the bestselling A Boy Called Christmas, A Girl Who Saved Christmas, Father Christmas and Me and The Truth Pixie. He lives in Yorkshire with his wife, has two grown-up daughters, and when he's not drawing and writing, you'll find him . . . actually, he's never not drawing or writing.

H. G. Wells (1866-1946) was an English novelist, journalist, sociologist and historian best known for his classic science fiction novels The Time Machine and The War of the Worlds and his comic novels Tono-Bungay and The History of Mr. Polly.

Absolutely Fantastic

This was my first time ordering from SciFier but it definitely won't be my last. When it comes to buying books online the packaging needs to be good, SciFier were great they used bubble wrap to make sure they arrived perfect. Amazing range of books that majority are lower priced than most book retailers. Wonderful service, I'll definitely be recommending to everyone. Thank you.
