Description

In May 1979, Francis Ford Coppola unveiled a 'work in progress' cut of his film, Apocalypse Now, at the Cannes Film Festival. After winning the prestigious Palme d'Or, the convention-shattering film was nominated for eight Academy Awards and became a worldwide phenomenon. In 2001 Coppola introduced a new version - wholly re-edited from the original raw footage - that included forty-nine minutes of never-before-seen footage: Apocalypse Now Redux.

Apocalypse Now relocates Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness to the Vietnam War, focusing on the hazardous mission of Captain Willard to find and terminate 'with extreme prejudice' a renegade American colonel in Cambodia.

Apocalypse Now Redux is the screenplay to Francis Ford Coppola's convention-shattering relocation of Conrad's Heart of Darkness.

About the Author
Five-time Academy Award winner Francis Ford Coppola won his first Oscar for the screenplay of Patton, which he co-wrote with Edmund G. North. He won his first Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival for The Conversation, which he wrote and directed. He has directed twenty films, including Apocalypse Now and the epic Godfather trilogy. John Milius is a director, screenwriter and producer, whose credits include Dillinger, Conan the Barbarian and Red Dawn.

Absolutely Fantastic

This was my first time ordering from SciFier but it definitely won't be my last. When it comes to buying books online the packaging needs to be good, SciFier were great they used bubble wrap to make sure they arrived perfect. Amazing range of books that majority are lower priced than most book retailers. Wonderful service, I'll definitely be recommending to everyone. Thank you.
