Description

Step into the magical world of Wonderland in this gloriously illustrated picture book retelling of Lewis Carroll's enduring classic, from the highly-regarded, prize-winning illustrator of Blue Kangaroo and Melrose and Croc.

When Alice follows a white rabbit down a hole she discovers the extraordinary world of Wonderland, where a magical adventure begins. It's not long before Alice finds herself attending a very unconventional tea party and taking part in a peculiar game of croquet, all in the company of such mysterious and unforgettable characters as the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat and the Mock Turtle.

Lewis Carroll's classic story is brought alive for a new generation of readers in this exquisite picture book.

Reviews

"Emma Chichester Clark's intelligent update of Alice in Wonderland makes it more accessible and less frightening than Lewis Carroll's original, complete with John Tenniel's dark, prickly Victorian pictures. Girls of 5+ should enjoy it." Amanda Craig, The Times

Praise for 'Melrose and Croc':
'Full of bright detail, this is a picture book young readers could well dream about as being the next best thing to entering its pages.' The Independent

'Two irresistible new characters from the creator of the popular Blue Kangaroo series.' Winter edition, Primary Times

'A heart-warming tale of how friendships begin... This book is a wonderful tactile experience, from the shimmery glittery cover... to the gentle watercolours inside, which are printed on the creamiest of papers.' The Irish Times

'It delights children but adults will appreciate the period evocation of the festive-season cities and the off-season seaside.' The Sunday Times

'Incredibly touching story.' Primary Times

'Gorgeous Christmassy story about friendship.' Angels and Urchins

'You don't have to get too sentimental to find something special...The light in the illustrations makes this book all the more magical.' Junior

'A beautifully illustrated and heart-warming tale.' Family Interest Magazine

'This author/illustrator goes from strength to strength... Mouth-watering illustrations, ideal text, two mightily engaging characters - altogether the star on top of the tree.' Carousel

Praise for I Love You, Blue Kangaroo:
'Presented in clear, bright colours, this is a charming tale about affection and sharing...' School Librarian

'I love you... would melt the stoniest heart. Blue Kangaroo is ousted from his place... by a procession of new toys. A tender and touching story for three to six year olds.' Sunday Telegraph

'Could become a classic.' Books for Keeps

'Irresistible...brimming with 'Aaah factor'.' The Bookseller

'Blue Kangaroo is a winner.' T. E. S

This was my first time ordering from SciFier but it definitely won't be my last. When it comes to buying books online the packaging needs to be good, SciFier were great they used bubble wrap to make sure they arrived perfect. Amazing range of books that majority are lower priced than most book retailers. Wonderful service, I'll definitely be recommending to everyone. Thank you.
